Collective Worship At Home
Discipleship Mission
Second Week of Lent
In this week's Gospel reading, Peter, James and John go with Jesus to pray on a mountain top. Something amazing happens when they are there! This activity sheet includes the Gospel reading, reflection and activities for you to do on your own or as a family!
Lenten Fundraiser
We are calling all children, parents, grandparents, staff, governors and anyone else that wants to be involved to join our Lenten Fundraising Challenge. As a community, we are raising money and awareness of two very important charities - Faith in Families and CAFOD. They both do amazing work, so we are aiming to walk to the Holy Land!
It's 3135 miles from Bishop Ellis, but if we all take part, we can make it there by Easter. Print off the Sponsor Form and get moving - you can walk, swim, cycle or run your miles - just let us know each week how far you and your family have travelled so we can add them to our community total.

Walking For Water
Walking For Water - CAFOD
Join the Water Droplet Trail in support of CAFOD’s walk for water appeal. You can get involved at home by creating a water droplet display in a window, and looking out for others on a walk.
Watch the following video for more information: https://cafod.org.uk/Fundraise/Walk-for-Water
How do we join the Water Droplet Trail?
- Fill in the attached water droplet or draw and decorate your own! Don't forget to include 'I'm walking for water with CAFOD'.
- Put your water droplet in a window that can be seen from outside your building.
- When you go out for a walk in the area, look out for other people displaying the CAFOD water droplet! How many can you find?
Every time you spot one of the CAFOD water droplets displayed in windows around your community, think of people like Abdella. The steps you take on your walk could help communities like theirs have access to clean water.
Happy Walking!

Discipleship Mission
Fifth Sunday of Ordinary Time
In this Sunday’s Gospel, we hear about Jesus taking time out to recover and refresh himself through prayer.
After he brings peace and recovery to Simon’s mother-in-law, everyone crowds in on Jesus, wanting to be healed.
Finally, Jesus goes off in the early morning to gather strength by praying to his Father.
This activity sheet includes the Gospel reading, reflection and activities for you to do on your own or as a family!

St Thomas Aquinas Feast Day 2021
Saint Thomas Aquinas Feast Day
2th January is his feast day and we remember him today as the patron of the Leicestershire Catholic schools. Join all of our friends in all of the Catholic schools across Leicestershire by watching the special liturgy video - you may even spot some familiar faces! Watch the liturgy at: https://youtu.be/QSyoTQBUFIY
There is also a special mission for you to take part in. Your mission is to think of someone or something that you are grateful for and think of a way to show your gratitude in some way. Have a look through the slideshow to look at how some of our pupils responded to the mission
Bishop Patrick also celebrated Mass in memory of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Join him on his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/BishopPatrickMcKinney
