Liturgical Season: Ordinary Time
Monday 6th July 2020 - Rise Above
“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity”.
1 Timothy 4:12
Saint Paul believed in Timothy, a faithful young Christian, even when Timothy may have had doubts about himself in a leadership position. Saint Paul gave Timothy exactly what he needed; a letter of encouragement! Thank God for those that encourage you to greatness and take time to be a positive voice for others.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank you for being a positive voice in my life. Amen.
Tuesday 7th July 2020 - Man of the Beatitudes
“By yourself you will do nothing, but if you have God as the centre of all your action, then you will reach the goal”.
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
Blessed Pier Giorgio was a popular, handsome, and athletic young man who loved the mountains, competition, and skiing. His faithfulness in following Christ was well known to his friends as was his enormous smile and zeal for life. He was consumed with serenity and joy in the service of Christ and neighbour.
Prayer: Lord, I throw myself into following you with all the strength I have. Amen.
Wednesday 8th July 2020 - God Has Faith in You!
“Do not say, ‘I am only a boy’; for you shall go to all to whom I send you”. Jeremiah 1:7
God has more faith in us than we have in ourselves. We doubt ourselves when we go it alone without God and look only to our own abilities. Remember that when God calls us to it, he will see us through it. Rely on him; listen to his voice because anyone plus God is a majority.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I do what you ask for and I know you go with me. Amen.
