Writing:
Character description of Alice- Look at the Twinkl Character description through dialogue document. What do we know about Alice? How do her speech and actions help us to understand her?
Look through our chapters so far- make a list of:

What this tells us
Write some adjectives to describe Alice- write some quotes to demonstrate each quality e.g.
Short tempered- ‘Is that all?’ said Alice, swallowing down her anger as well as she could’
Write the beginning of Chapter 5 demonstrating the personality of Alice. Continue from:
The Caterpillar and Alice looked at each other for some time in silence: at last the Caterpillar took the hookah out of its mouth, and addressed her in a languid, sleepy voice.
Success criteria:
- Include hints to at least 5 of Alice’s qualities
- Accurate use of direct speech
- Accurate verb tenses- demonstrate the use of the present and past progressive tense
- Accurate punctuation
- Accurate spelling- choose 5 words from statutory spelling list in back of purple books
