Lesson 1 this week is a grammar lesson on apostrophes for singular and plural possession. In Lessons 2, 3 and 4, you will read a river poem, learn about poetic devices and have a go at writing your own river poem!
We are continuing to look at fractions this week thinking about equivalent fractions and placing fractions on a number line.
This week, we are starting a new topic called Listening and Sharing. Have a go at Lesson 1 and Lesson 2.
Read through the Word Rivers PowerPoint. Use books and the internet to complete the World Rivers Labelling Sheet.
For the last lesson in our topic we are going to be looking at how environmental dangers have harmed some species in the world.
This week we are continuing our unit on aiming high. Look through the powerpoint and have a go at the activities.
In addition to reading a little every day we would like you to continue to practice the reading skills we have been discussing in school. Therefore each week we will be setting you a reading challenge. This involves reading a short text and answering the questions. The questions will focus on a particular reading skill each week.
NB: The answers are also part of the document this is so you can check to see if you were right after you have had a go by yourself.
