L.O. I can write a biography of a historical music figure (Vera Lynn).

Last week you carried out some research and made notes about Vera Lynn. Today you will use these notes to write a biography of her life. Remember, a biography is 'An account of someone's life written by someone else.'

Look at the example biography (KS2 expected standard) provided below (about Roald Dahl) and underline/identify the features of a biography you can find within in, using the success criteria image below to help you. This is a good model/structure for you to base your own writing on today. 

Success Criteria:

Create your own condensed list of success criteria that you will predominantly focus on in your Vera Lynn biography using the historical biography success criteria checklist. Write this at the top of your page and refer back to it as you write.

Once you've finished your biography, be sure to check your success criteria, make any necessary edits and check your spelling and punctuation really carefully before writing it in your best handwriting and sending it to your class teacher on class dojo.
