Liturgical Season: Easter
Our Lady of Good Counsel
“Many souls are in Heaven through the prayers of Mary who otherwise would not be there” Saint Thomas Aquinas
Our Lady of Good Counsel is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary, after a painting said to be miraculous, now found in a thirteenth century church in Italy. Like any good parent, Mary cared for her son, Jesus and advised him in his life. At the wedding feast in Cana, Mary encouraged Jesus to perform his first miracle turning water into wine. We too can look to Mary for help and guidance.
Prayer: Most glorious Mary, be my guide in this valley of tears. Obtain for me, by the precious blood of your divine Son, the pardon of my sins and the salvation of my soul. Amen.
