Our team of 8 intrepid swimmers, made up of four year six and four year five pupils and a mix of boys and girls, took to the water for the Charnwood gala, which this year took place at Charnwood College. As defending champions, we were motivated to perform well, which we did. We were just pipped into second place, which was a very encouraging result, given that several of the team had never raced before.

 

Thank you to Miss Lowe who accompanied the team, whom I am led to believe was very vocal in her support, and to all the parents who helped with transport. As we didn't trust Miss Lowe not to drop the camera into the water, there are no photos for the notice board!
