Oliver Auditions

This is part of the song that you will be singing for the audition. Don't worry! You'll be able to read and sing the words from the sheet. You don't have to learn the words off by heart just yet!

04 Consider Yourself.mp3

If you like, you can also practise with an instrumental version. It's unlikely that this will be the final version however it will give you an idea of what it is like singing without an accompaniment.

Karaoke_Instrumental - Oliver Twist - Consider yourself(version2).mp3

We DO NOT expect you to know all of the lines to the song. What is more important is singing in tune and keeping in time. We will be using the following part of the song for the audition.

Consider yourself at home
Consider youself one of the family
We've taken to you so strong
It's clear we're going to get along
Consider yourself well in
Consider yourself part of the furniture
There isn't a lot to spare
Who cares?..What ever we've got, we share!

If it should chance to be
We should see
Some harder days
Empty larder days
Why grouse?

Alsyas a-chance we'll meet
To foot the bill
Then the drinks are on the house!

Consider yourself our mate
We do't want to have no fuss,
For after some consideration, we can state
Consider yourself
One of us!

We had a wonderful day visiting Nottingham castle and watching Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat. I lost count of the amount of people in the audience and theatre staff who told me how amazing our children were and that they were beautifully behaved. I was very proud of them.

Thank you for being so generous

World Book Day

During the week of the 28th February, World Book Day week, many fun activities took place to promote the joys of reading.

The children created their own books in groups inspired by the story of ' Aliens Love Underpants'.

Parents and carers came into classes to read and share their favourite books with the children.

The classes visited different year groups to read and share their favourite book with other children.

And of course the children dressed up as their favourite book characters too!

Our production- Joseph

We are starting to think about our production on the 28th March and are beginning to learn the songs. The children are really keen to learn the songs at home and so we have set up a blog where children can access the music and lyrics.

All children in Years 3 and 4 will be given a role in our play but we shall be holding auditions on the week beginning 23rd January for children who would like a larger role. We shall be asking children to sing Any dream will do which can be found on the blog. Children should only audition if they are committed, will work hard and are definitely available for an afternoon and evening performance on Tuesday 28th March.

Have fun
