Goodbye and Thank You!

In some ways it seems such a short time ago, January 2004, that I started here at Bishop Ellis School.  In other ways, it feels a long time as we have had so many developments and changes over the years!  Everyday is different and working with young children always has that wonderful unpredictability to it.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here—the children are a great credit to the school and to you, their parents.  We always receive such positive feedback from visitors and from those working in the places they visit on trips, about their outstanding behaviour and polite manners—they have every reason to feel proud of themselves and of their achievements.   I have always found the parent community to be so supportive and encouraging and this is one of the reasons that the school is able to do so well—thank you!

I would like to pay special tribute to all the staff and governors who work so hard to ensure that the children have every opportunity to reach their potential—they are hardworking, dedicated and committed and I thank them all for this and for their support and kindness during my time here.  The last six and a half years have been an absolute pleasure; it really has been an honour and a privilege to serve as Headteacher here at this outstanding school.  I wish the whole community all the very best for continued success and happiness under, what I have no doubt will be, the excellent leadership of Mrs Henry.  I will miss you all.

Ms Neill
