Bishop Ellis Chaplaincy Team
‘Be an example for the believers in your love, speech, faith, conduct and purity.' (Timothy 4:12)
At Bishop Ellis, the children in Year 6 have the opportunity to serve the school as part of the Chaplaincy Team. The Chaplaincy Team plays a vital role in developing the spiritual life of the school and the children are supported in their work by the Head of KS1 and R.E. Co-ordinator, Mr Haresign.
The initial meeting for those children interested in joining the Chaplaincy Team for this year has already taken place and the children who would like to be considered for a role on the Chaplaincy Team have written letters to Mr Haresign, explaining how they think their talents and individual qualities will make them a good chaplain who can contribute to the development of collective worship, prayer and social justice in our school community. Throughout the year, any children wanting to join should talk to Mr Haresign or one of the chaplaincy team.
If anyone has any ideas that they wish to share with the Chaplaincy Team, please speak to Mr Haresign, or one of the new chaplains when they have been commissioned, as we are here to listen and to help!
The Chaplaincy Board will soon be relocated to the school hall and there you will find information about chaplaincy activities, so make sure you read the notices when they are put up!
